Product Overview: FTLF1318P3BTL SFP Optical Transceiver

The Finisar FTLF1318P3BTL is a Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver designed for high-speed data communication over fiber optic networks. It is fully compatible with the SFP Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA) and supports both Gigabit Ethernet and 1x Fibre Channel applications.

The FTLF1318P3BTL Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers are compatible with the SFP Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA). They simultaneously comply with Gigabit Ethernet as specified in IEEE Std 802.3 and 1x Fibre Channel as defined in FC-PI-4. Digital diagnostics functions are available via the 2-wire serial bus specified in the SFP MSA. The optical transceiver is RoHS compliant.

This module operates at a 1310 nm wavelength and supports a maximum data rate of 1.25 Gb/s for transmission distances up to 10 kilometers. It employs a high-performance DFB Laser as its transmitter and a PIN Photodetector as its receiver.
